Emma Torres grew up as a migrant farmworker and community activist leader. She has been working as a community representative and farm worker advocate since 1984, at which time she developed some of the earliest templates for community health worker leadership development. She is the founder and CEO of Campesinos Sin Fronteras, a community-based organization serving border families in Yuma County, Arizona. With over 30 years of experience in public health, she co-founded Alianza Nacional de Campesinas to develop farm worker leaders nationally.
