Denise Padin Collazo is a social justice leader, a mentor to fellow women of color, and an award-winning author. She is squarely focused on encouraging women of color to lead into their vision, live into their fullest selves, and love past negatives that hold them back.
Denise is the Chief of external affairs at Faith in Action (formerly PICO National Network), the nation’s largest faith-based, progressive organizing network, where she has advanced the cause of social justice over the past twenty-five years.
She is a gifted speaker who leaves listeners compelled to take action on how they can act on their purpose. Denise mentors, coaches, and raises funds in collaboration with other women to find the just solutions we so desperately need.
She is a highly relational, authentic leader with a track record of building strong relationships across racial, cultural, faith and gender differences. She has developed and executed complex strategy and project management as demonstrated by her leadership of large, multi-partner winning ballot measures and electoral campaigns at the city, state and national level.
She is the author of the recent book: Thriving in the Fight; A Survival Manual for Latinas on the Front Lines of Change.
